This Privacy Policy explains how JHRZ, LLC, doing business as LureLog ("we," "us," "our," or "LureLog"), collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the LureLog app, website, and related services.
By using LureLog, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect

- account information, such as your Sign in with Apple account identifier and related account details
- username
- home state
- catch photos
- catch details you submit or edit
- messages or requests you send for support
Information collected through your use of the app
We may collect:
- subscription and purchase status
- catch log data
- leaderboard and public profile information you choose to make visible through app features
- user block relationships
- app activity and interaction data
- device, diagnostic, and crash information
- usage information needed to operate and improve the Services
- AI scan inputs and outputs
When you submit a catch photo for scanning, we may process:
- the photo itself
- the associated catch record
- AI-generated outputs such as species, estimated size, and scan results
Location information
LureLog may collect or use location-related information to provide map and nearby water features. This may include your home state, catch state, device location while using the app, visible map area, nearby water body search results, selected fishing spots, and whether you choose to keep a catch location private.
LureLog does not store your raw device GPS coordinates on catch records. When you choose a body of water for a ranked catch, LureLog may store the selected fishing spot ID with that catch. If you choose Private, the catch is not publicly tied to a body of water.
2. How we use your information
We may use your information to:
- create and manage your account
- authenticate you and maintain your sign-in state
- provide subscriptions and premium access
- process and store catches
- analyze catch photos and return scan results
- operate ranked catches, XP, leaderboards, and public profile features
- enable user blocking and safety features
- improve app performance and reliability
- detect abuse, fraud, invalid uploads, or misuse
- communicate with you about support or service issues
- comply with legal obligations
We may use location-related information to:
- show nearby lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and other mapped water bodies
- suggest nearby bodies of water after eligible ranked catches
- let you associate ranked catches with a selected fishing spot
- keep catch locations private when you choose the Private option
- show public spot-linked ranked catches in map and feed features
3. Public content and profiles
Certain information may be visible to other users if public-facing features are enabled, including:
- username
- home state
- ranked catch information
- public monthly profile and catch details
- leaderboard placement
Public-facing features may show selected body-of-water information for catches that are public and not marked as location private. If you mark a catch location as Private, LureLog will not publicly display the selected body of water for that catch.
Map and spot features may show public ranked catches tied to a fishing spot. Private-location catches are not intended to appear as public spot activity.
Only limited app data is intended to be publicly visible, and blocking/privacy controls may affect visibility. Even so, we cannot guarantee that all shared or public-facing information will always remain private once shown to others.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We may receive subscription status and related purchase information through service providers used to manage access and subscription state.
We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
5. Third-party service providers
LureLog uses third-party services to operate the app. These may include providers for:
- authentication
- backend infrastructure and database services
- cloud storage
- subscription management
- AI processing
- crash reporting, diagnostics, or analytics
These providers may process information on our behalf as needed to provide the Services.
LureLog may send location-derived map bounds or nearby search information to backend services to return nearby water bodies, but raw device GPS coordinates are not stored on catch records.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain app functionality, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, whether the data is tied to account functionality, and whether legal or operational reasons require longer retention.
7. Data deletion and account requests
You may request deletion of your account or personal data by contacting us at the email below. We may retain certain information where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.
If public or catch-related data has already been shared or displayed to other users, deletion may not remove all prior copies or references outside our control.
8. Children's privacy
LureLog is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International data transfers
If you use LureLog outside the country where the Services are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use of LureLog after updated terms are posted means you accept the revised policy.
